Quest and Migraine

Strange things happen, whether you want them to or not. Sometimes you can’t even believe it, and you look for rational reasons for these states. That’s not always possible, but you can make a little drawing based on it.

Yet in your search, you encounter:

“Sick building syndrome is a non-specific illness that occurs predominantly among employees of new buildings. Health problems (most commonly extreme fatigue and headaches) are reported by people in offices, schools, and kindergartens. The number of people with these symptoms is constantly increasing. Although molds are suspected agents in this type of ailment, the evidence for these claims is insufficient.”*

or

“Spiritual emergency (also spiritual crisis) is a form of identity crisis. It is a state in which a person undergoes significant changes in their belief or value system (e.g., their unique goals, values, attitudes, and convictions), usually as a result of an extraordinary spiritual experience. Its cause can also be extraordinary states of consciousness, mystical, paranormal, or other unusual experiences.”**

“The affected person may discover the problem by chance, i.e., suddenly notice that their face is intersected in the mirror or that certain words or numbers have disappeared from the page. It is important to point out that observant patients consistently mention a strange ‘glare,’ which seems to be a natural characteristic feature of negative scotomas. David Pinkava and Michal Rejzek inhabit the space of Kulturák Archa in Lubná with their predominantly black-and-white drawings. They were led to the exhibition by friendship, strange personal experiences, and Dr. Oliver Sacks.
