David Pinkava (*1995) is one of the outstanding authors of the contemporary young generation. He graduated from the Painting 3 studio under Josef Bolf, Jakub Hošek and Nik Timková at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, where he successfully defended his diploma thesis in 2024. He has been working mainly on paintings and drawings, which have recently been shown in many group exhibitions, such as at Karlín Studios, Prostora gallery, Holešovická šachta gallery in Prague, Nová Perla gallery in Kyjov and The Somnambulists at Kunstverein Eisenstradt in Austria.
