The long-term collaboration between visual artist Lucie Nimcova and musician David Petráš resulted in a foundation and label called nohami, which was created on the basis of their ethnographic research in the Carpathian Mountains. The project aims to create sustainable conditions for preserving and sharing knowledge of people living in remote areas on the borderlines of Slovakia, Ukraine, Romania, and Hungary.
At the festival Bučení they will present their AV installation called Džyna.
Džyna / Gina, a term derived from the word "ginetika" or "genetics". It is believed to be a natural symbiosis of a gift from God or/and ancestors and persistent practice that every musician must possess.
