Set on the periphery of Siberia, Maria Lopatyuk's bachelor film The Head captures the hopelessness of the individual in a ruthless environment that limits human uniqueness.
Lopatyuk’s raw cinematography tells a series of stories that don’t demand much from life, but even the little they do is denied by the system. Maria Lopatyuk is a student of the Video Studio at FaVU BUT Brno. She works primarily with the medium of moving image and photography.
